Your pets can be distressed that their toys, food or familiar furniture is disappearing. Either remove them from their normal surroundings to friends or kennels / catteries, etc for the duration of the move, or give them an area of the house equipped with their food, toys and drinking water for them to spend the day in.
Please be aware of health and safety considerations on the day of the move (open doors, vehicle ramps, people carrying large and heavy items that obscure their vision around their feet)
Make suitable travel arrangements and if your pets are not used to travelling, use a pet carrier and discuss the process with your vet. Make sure you do not leave your pet unattended in a vehicle for long – they can overheat and become distressed very quickly.
